Our Father Forgives

A Recipe for the Complete Life in Christ

Ingredients:

1 – Love: sprinkled with understanding (Get understanding [Proverbs 4:7b]) delivered by the Holy Spirit.

2 – A Dash of Remembrance to give hope: in the Old Testament God encouraged his people to remember His goodness (festivals like Shabbat, Yom Kippur, Purim and the Passover).

3 – Joy: a dash of joy from your Heavenly Father; to enjoy. Encourage others in their joy, for joy comes from the Lord of Hosts (see Psalm 30:5).

Recipe for a soup of love, hope and joy:

Put everything into a pot (your heart) and remember God.

Stage 1 – look to Him and He will answer. There is incredible peace in following our Heavenly Father.

Stage 2 – Rest in Him. Be at rest in your Redeemer – Jesus Christ's work, once and for all on the Cross was to redeem His people at a cost. He did this so that your joy would be resting in Him.

Stage 3 – Stop everything and come back to His Throne for counsel.

Please note: Give yourself a healthy dash of the Word at all occasions.

Stage 4 – Marry God into you life (see Jeremiah 3:14 KJV). That is: be married to Jesus Christ – not your work, your kids, your husband/wife, your counsellor, your protection mechanisms, but only Him and Him only, for He is the bridegroom of the Church.

Stage 5 – The emphasis here is on inclining your ear to Him (listening to Him). That is: loving Him with all you heart soul and mind and in this you will be free.

Stage 6 – Take His recipes to others, so that they too will be the finished product – not a product of sin but a product of love (Christ in you, the hope of Glory, Colossians 1:27).

Everyday with Jesus is special. Come on! Lift Him up in your life. Go with Him and be His bride. How does a bride love her bridegroom? Intimately and passionately; in other words with enthusiasm and extavigantly.
